"I've tried to get this membership three other times and in the past 12 months and was rejected, using one excuse after another. Finally, early this afternoon, I walked in and spoke to the reception staff on duty at the children's library on the ground floor (of the same building), regarding getting a membership "upstairs" because I need computer access that were not available downstairs (and books they have in english - see link below) "...and that I was not officially a researcher but would like a membership upon presentation of my EU Identification - dual passport still valid..."; and she mentioned that the research library "upstairs" was not just for researchers but everyone needing to use their facilities; she went to the trouble of showing me the policy that gave me the right to a membership (below - section 2.2 Access et Inscription); I asked her to make a phone call on my behalf to oversome any problems with a possible "communication barrier", which she did and after she hung up the phone, with a copy of that documentation - their policies - in my hand, I went upstairs and applied for a membership that THIS TIME they did not dare to argue!
